  • Beaver

    Beaver fur offers wearers a durable, evenly sheared, and velvety soft texture. It can be dyed in a variety of colors and it suited for many styles.


    It is naturally long and features lustrous guard hairs overlaying a thick undercoat.

  • Chinchilla

    Easily identifiable by it's slate blue color, chincilla fu is short and soft with a darker underfur.

  • Coyote

    This durable, longhaired fur is most commonly tan or light gray in color. It features a soft underfur. 


  • Ermine

    Ermine features an ultra-silky white guard hair with a dense underfur.

  • Fisher

    This durable fur features silky guard hairs in brown to black tones, and a thick underfur.

  • Fitch

    Fitch fur can range in color from pale ecru to orange toned with black markings. It features long guard haris over a lighter toned underfur.


  • Fox

    Fox fur offers one of the widest range of natural colors, excluding mink, including color varieties such as silver cross, crystal, blue, red, gray and white. 


    It features long, lustrous guard hairs with a a thick and soft underfur. Fox fur can be dyed a variety of colors to achieve the desired look.

  • Lamb

    Broadtail: This features a natural, flat moire pattern, available in natural colors including brown, black, and gray. Broadtail lamb is often dyed in more exotic colors.


    Mongolian: This features very long, wavy, silky guard hairs. Its natural color is off-white but it is often dyed exotic colors. 


    Mouton: These pelts are sheared closely for soft, thick, and flat fur. 


    Persian: This fur comes from karakul sheep raised in central Asia or Southwest Africa, and features flat silky curls with natural colors including black, brown, and gray.


    Shearling: These natural lamb pelts feature a leather side, being suede or leather, which is worn on the outside with the fur on the inside.

  • Lynx

    Canadian Lynx: This fur features a creamy white toned fur with characteristic darker markings.


    Russian Lynx: This fur features a very white, soft, longhaired fur with subtle beige markings. The whiter the fur, the higher the value.

  • Marten

    American: This fur features long, silky guard hairs and a dense underfur, with colors ranging from blue-brown to dark brown.


    Baum: This fur is softer, silkier, and shinier than the American marten.


    Stone: This variety is considered to be the finest marten; featuring soft, thick guard hairs and a blue-brown cast with pale underfur.

  • Mink

    Mink fur is soft, lightweight, and very durable.  It features lustrous guard hairs and dense, soft underfur. Mink can be dyed in a wide range of colors and can also be sheared for a sporty or casual look. 


    Mink is primarily farm-raised and remains the most popular fur. Female pelts are smaller in size and have a softer, silkier feel than the large male pelts. 

  • Muskrat

    Muskrat fur is a full, thick fur with a black stripe and pale beige sides. It is often sheared for a lightweight, sporty feel.


    New Jersey: This variety is lighter in weight with contrasting colors.


    Northern: This variety is strong with longer guard hairs and heavy, thick underfur. Often worked skin-on-skin.


    Southern: This variety is flatter with little underfur; typically pale in color. 

  • Nutria

    Similar to beaver fur, Nutrial is often sheared and used for sportier, more lightweight feel garments. It is a popular choice for linings and trims, featuring a soft and plush underfur. It is frequently dyed in a wide variety of colors. 

  • Opossum

    American: This fur features long, silvery black-tipped guard hairs with thick underfur.


    Australian: This fur features short, dense and plush-like fur, with colors ranging from yellow-gray to natural brown.

  • Rabbit

    Rabbit fur is not very durable and sheds easily. It is most commonly sheared or grooved and features medium-length guard hairs in a variety of colors. 

  • Raccoon

    Raccoon fur is very durable, featuring long gray/black guard hairs with slivery tips over a woolly dense underfur. 


    Finn raccoon: This variety features long, thick tan guard hairs with black tips and dense underfur. 

  • Sable

    Lightweight; This fur features long, luxurious guard hairs with dense underfur. 


    Russian sable: This is the most expensive fur, especially when there is an abundance of silver hairs; brown with a silver cast.


    Canadian gold sable: Somewhat less expensive; amber tones; very durable.

  • Squirrel

    Squirrel fur is very lightweight and features short, soft guard hairs with a flat, dense underfur. 

  • Tanuki

    More commonly known as a Japanese racoon; this fur features very long guard hairs and a full texture. Its coloring is a light amber-brown color with dark, distinctive markings.

  • Weasel

    Similar look to mink, weasel fur features short guard hairs and semi-dense underfur.
